Don’t you just love a big, beautiful Paper Cone Wreath?! I’ve made quite a few of them over the years and I always tell myself, I have absolutely zero room to store another one. Then I go on with myself and make another one. #wreathissues This time, I made a Rustic Christmas Paper Cone Wreath with Glitter Pine Cones in the center. I know, Bam! Paper Cone Wreaths always make a statement like, Go Big or Go home, right?

I literally did go Big or Go home with this Rustic Paper Cone Wreath since I made it for the Wild Card challenge in the So You Think You’re Crafty Challenge. Unfortunately, I didn’t win the last challenge, actually got creamed by a crocheted Nativity Set.
Seriously, how do you even crochet something like that? I tried to knit a scarf once when I visited the in-laws for Christmas one year. I couldn’t even get a row started. It defeated me. Then TSA confiscated my knitting needles out of my suitcase. They did. So game over with me and knitting.
I will stick to what I am best at, paper crafts and Paper Cones wreaths take a lot of paper. The wreath is made up of tow layers. The bottom layer of cones are 6 x 6 squares and I used the gorgeous Echo Park Paper The Story of Christmas collection to make this wreath.
The papers are so pretty and were the perfect Rustic Christmas I was looking for. To make life easier when rolling the cones, roll he papers around a jumbo glue pen to help keep the cones the same size. You don’t have to do this step but it makes it easier.
After the cones were rolled and hot glue together, I brush Mod Podge on the tips of the cones and sprinkled gold glitter over it. I love how the glitter gives this rustic wreath a little bit of glam.
The base of the wreath is just a piece of chipboard I cut out in a 11′ circle and hot glued the cones on to it.
The second layer of paper cones are cut at 4 x 6 inches and hot glued in between the gaps of the bottom layer.
I gave the pine cones a little bit of sparkle by brushing on a thin layer of Mod Podge and sprinkling them with gold glitter also.
After the glitter pines cones are dry, hot glue them in to the center of the wreath. You could also spry paint the pine cones too by following my Rustic Glam Pines Cone tutorial.
I think the glittered pine cones in the center really compliments the papers in the wreath bringing a warm and cozy, rustic feel of Christmas in to your home. Just like a big ole’ Holiday Welcome!
This Rustic Christmas Paper Cone Wreath is a simple home decor craft to make to Welcome in the Holidays or even give as a gift. Of course, after you spend the time making such a beautiful paper craft, you may have a hard time giving it away.
