Welcome to Ribbons and Glue Craft Room Tour! Warning, this post is picture heavy but you know what? Who cares….Ha! I spent a solid week getting my crib organized so I took a lot of pictures and I’m going to enjoy it while it last and of course, show it off a little. I mean, I do spent everyday, like everyday in this room. Also. If you follow me in Instagram, you can see more detailed pictures of how I store my craft items in my Vintage Inspired Craft Room.

My Craft Room is in the front of the house. It’s sorta a odd room. Like, I’m not sure what I would use it for room if I wasn’t a craft room. When we moved in to this house 6 years ago, my formal dining room table and china cabinet were on display in there and I would occasionally , yes, occasionally use it to create stuff with my Cricut . Occasionally. Well, as you can now see. Occasionally is long, long gone as well as the dining room table and china cabinet and now it’s full blown Craft Room. Boom!
The room does have great light but the one thing I’d really love to change is the wall color. We live in a rental so I’m unable to re-paint and even if I could, I’m not about to pull everything out to paint. So taupe is what I got. I swear, it looks worse in these pictures than in real life. #badtaupe
My craft table used to be in our kitchen table. Since it had seen better days from small children beating on it, I repainted the table and chairs with chalky finish paint. I chose the table and chairs colors from items that I already had in my room. I actually brought that tool caddy on the table in to Home Depot to get a the color matched for the table . I did. True Store. It also happens to coordinate nicely with my Sewing Machine and my Silhouette cover.
This awesome white shelving unit is from West Elm. I helped my husband pick it out to hold his collectibles years ago knowing full well that when he decides to sells his crap collectibles, these shelves will be mine. And so here she is, all M.I.N.E. I have vintage, rustic look to my Craft Room. I use a lot of vintage itmes or vintage inspired items to store my craft supplies. Old Soda crates work great to hold lots of embellishments and I keep all my buttons separated by color in mason jars.
This is a snap of the other side of the room. This is my daily view as I sit at my computer and it’s actually my view right bow as I am writing this post.
This yellow wall cabinet was the one item my husband owned before I met him. I think he bought it in college. It was stored in the garage for years in a dated cranberry color that I brought to life with yellow Chalky Paint and now displays some knick knacks and a few things I have made.
I love this little corner of my craft room. A printing press tray full of vintage spools, a vintage guillotine paper cutter that works great and a 3 tier wood storage basket that looks old but it’s from Hobby Lobby.
This storage basket works perfect to fit my spools of twine, Minc Foils, HTV, hot glue guns and other crafty tools.
Here are some other ways I organize my craft supplies. The infamous Ikea Raskog Cart! A must have for any crafter. Right now, mine is full of paint, 6 x 6 paper pads and stamps. Since I create for paper manufactures, I have a lot of paper. When I say a lot I’m exaggerating, I should say I have a TON of paper. I’m lucky enough to get the newest collections sent to my doorstep to create with but this mean when the new stuff arrives, the old stuff has got to move over. This Paper Cart keeps me organized. Each collection is broken down in to different files and to make it look cute, I clipped Jen Hadfield Designer Files on the front of the files with gold clips.
I also keep all my We R Memory Keepers tools together in a chicken wire basket. I love how the WRMK tools match my room too!
Since I’m over -picturing this post anyways, I should show you whats on the opposite wall, from the table. Big Bertha! My huge cabinet is absolutely stocked full of crap supplies. And that little white table in the corner. That’s where I take most of my blog photos. The storage container underneath is full of props, backgrounds and everything else I need to stage photographs with. Now don’t get me wrong, my room looks neat and organized but the drawers are jammed packed. That is for another day. Seriously, another week for that matter. #toomuchstuff
I want to thank Angie from Chic Country Cottage for arranging these amazing Craft Room Tours. I love seeing where my blog peers create. This tour seriously challenged myself to get my room together. I needed to do this for my sanity anyways. My room has been a mess for a while, always stepping on and over stuff. Can’t even take a decent picture when there is so much stuff on the floor or in the way. #issues
Psst! I updated my Craft Room since this tour. I added a new rug, moved some stuff around, made a Burlap and Doily Banner and added a new craft light! You know what’s the best part? It’s still clean!!

January 30, 2016 at 10:26 amI love Big Bertha! Where did you coma across that? Cute room, gotta say. I wish I had all the natural light aka: windows! My craft room is in our basement, a big space but I use metal wired shelving & plastic bins ( all from Ikea) nothing cute to showoff. My big work desk is also from Ikea, which I love, but I’d love so windows…

July 22, 2016 at 8:35 ami am the old you. Can barely get in my craft room due to everybody using it to throw stuff in when a quick clean and/or straighten job is needed in another room,,,aka “COMPANY’S COMING!!!” It is in the center of the house with 3 incoming doors. Currently holds a folded up treadmill, unused aquarium, twin bed, table and chairs, toybox, shelves, a plethora of boxes of stuff, and mountains of clothing that needs to be sorted/sold/converted to rags. i have to maneuver through it to get wrapping paper supplies or holiday decorating items and go to dining room table to wrap or unpack. Sadly, I hv about given up on the idea of getting it organized. I jokingly (or not) tell people that are old enough to remember the tv show, The Odd Couple, that, “The Odd Couple lives within me. I am basically an Oscar who doesn’t want to be an Oscar and somehow believe and constantly strive to be a Felix.”
Result: constant turmoil Theme song: (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”
But kudos to you, Holly! You did good!
