I’m Holly, mother of 2, wife of 1 and the Crafter behind the Ribbons and Glue Blog. I am an avid DIY Crafter, small details freak who loves creating with pretty paper, up-cycling finds and may or may not be a craft hoarder. I started this blog in 2010 as more of a way to keep track of things I created and little did I know back then that my blog would grow in to what it’s become.
I live in Las Vegas, NV -WhooHoo! My life is not that glamours though. I live in total suburbia-land with my husband and two kids along with my favorite craft stores, antique shops, Targets and Dollar Stores all in my little suburbian bubble. I can pretty much find anything I need within 4 miles. I’m also a Registered Dietitian who has been lucky enough to hang up her lab coat full time and do consulting on the side.
My creative journey started out as a scrapbooker over 10 years ago. I was one of those crazy scrappers who would was totally caught up with printing off photos, journaling memories and piling up completed scrapbooks. I would even set the picture scene to coordinate with the embellishments and papers I wanted to use. I. Was. That. Scrapbook. Crazy.
In 2009. we moved crossed country from Florida and I stumbled across the world of die cutting. Mind.Blown. A whole new world opened up to me and my love for creating cards, home decor and altered items began and unfortunately, my Scrapbooking dwindled away. Funny thing though, when I look back at my Scrapbooking albums, I wasn’t very good at it. Seriously, they make me cringe with the poor quality products I used, the poor design and fussy cut photos (Ack-Ack!) but like anything in life, you grow, learn and change.
My creativity has grown tremendously. I love to create and it’s something I do daily. It’s my therapy. Craft. Eat. Sleep. Repeat. I have met the most amazing, talented people on my blogging journey, my work has been published numerous times in a variety of craft magazines and I have the privilege to create for leading craft manufactures.
Thanks for taking the time to read a little about my creative passion and I hope my blog inspires you.
