Leave Your Shoes at the Door Printable

What’s the rule in your house, shoes or no shoes on the carpet?   Growing up, I don’t remember my parents having any sort of shoe rule but now that I make the rules of the house, it’s no shoes on the carpet.  Please and thank you.  Ok, sometimes I don’t say please it’s more like ” get off the carpet with your shoes!”   I see how filthy my tile can look from the grime of shoes  just imagine the secrets of carpet.  I know, gag!   Since we have family coming to stay with us soon, I  spent this past  weekend deep cleaning my carpet  with the  BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution carpet cleaner.  Now that my carpets are sparkling clean, I want to keep them that way so I created a whimsical printable to display right next to that carpet I worked so hard to clean that nicely says  “Leave your worries and your shoes at the door”   Please.

 

 

It’s true, life is full of worries.   Visiting someone’s house should be welcoming without worries.  Worries should be left at the door and shoes too in this case.  Especially with the Holidays are coming up,   I don’t want to worry  more about the never-ending house cleaning I have to do.  I’ll admit, I’m sorta a procrastinator.  Like,  let’s wait till a week before or heck, maybe 3 days before to get my deep cleaning on.   Which turns me in to a manic cleaner.   I seem to do my best cleaning at this rate of speed but again, it makes life stressful and one thing I don’t like is dirty carpet.  To make you carpets cleaner during the holidays, BISSELL is giving away 2 Carpet Cleaners bundles to two lucky readers who comment below.

 

To display my No Shoes Printable, I painted a natural  wood plaque with white paint then painted yellow chalky paint over the white.  When the paint was dry, I use some sand paper to distress the top yellow coat leaving some of the white underneath.

 

This printable is 8 x 10 in size but since the plaque was smaller, I used a paper trimmer to trim it down to the size I wanted.

 

 

Using, Mod Podge I adhere the printable on to the plaque.

Now that my carpets are sparkling clean, I really want to keep them that way.  The  BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution surprisingly really did clean my carpets well, much better than the machines I usually rent at the grocery.
