Did you have any Outdoor Adventures this Summer? We actually just got back from a long road trip and I don’t mean just a week long road trip either. More like a 8.5 K mile cross country road trip! Yep, you read the miles correctly. 8500 miles and it was quite an adventure too and the inspiration behind these Happy Camper Cards made with the Echo Park Paper The Wild Life kit.

Our BIG road trip may of been the inspiration behind these cards but let me make it clear, we didn’t camp nor did we go Glamping or drive a cute VW Bus across country . It was just the 4 of us, driving a normal Mini-Van, cramped between bags, coolers, snacks and of course, trash. #letskeepitreal
To make the Van card, I used my Silhouette to cut out Echo Park’s Van down by the river cut file then used the offset function in the Silhouette Software to create a base for the cut file.
After I offset-ed the cut file, I duplicated the offset so I’d have two bases to make in to a card. You could also weld the two bases together using the software to make in to a card but I chose to cut them out twice and adhered them together at the top.
After the layers of the die cuts were assembled together, I stamped a sentiment on to the Van card chosen from The Wild Life Designer Stamps.
I provide the Van Card a little more outdoor character, by adhering a paper strip down the middle, wrapped the card with twine and used a few Echo Park Enamel Dots in the wheels and on lights.
The other Outdoor Card, is matted it with The Wild Life patterned paper and embellished with Element Sticker Accents and twine. Fun Happy Camper Cards, perfect for the hard core outdoor camper or just a weekend road tripper.
