As you all know,  I’m a craft blogger but I also  happen to be a  Registered Dietitian.  I know..ugh… total food cop, right?  Well, I’m not that sort of annoying person you want to avoid inviting to your dinner parties but my inner RD self does strive to choose nutritious food choices daily , especially for the first meal of the day.  Like Mama says,  “breakfast is the most important meal of the day”  right?    Another thing  that you may not know about me, unless you follow my Instagram account, @ribbonsandglue, is we travel a lot as a family and of course, when you travel,  you don’t always have the best food choices available.  A lot of the hotels we stay in offer breakfast but unfortunately, the quick and convenient  choices aren’t always the best selections in my opinion.    So,  I’m always on the lookout to  try new products that  I can pack in my bag to make my meal choices for breakfast or snacks easy and nutritious.   My husband likes to make fun of the “Food for Mom”  bag I always carry with me too. Pfft!

Quaker Oats Yogurt Cups- A Breakfast Party!

When I discovered this new product , Quaker® Real Medleys® Yogurt Cups, a delicious blend of yogurt and multi-grain granola with real fruit and crunchy nuts and the directions say all I  need to do is add  COLD milk and stir, was totally like nothing I’ve ever  seen before!  Heck Ya, I could totally pack this lil’ convenience in my “Food for Mom” bag.   Never mind the fact that I  already  love yogurt, add in some granola- Hello- we’ve got a Breakfast Party for the Taste Buds here!

Hotel Breakfast- Quaker Oats Yogurt Cups- A Breakfast Party!

So here I am, adding cold milk in to a delicious looking Strawberry and Almond Real Medleys Yogurt Cup while brewing a mug of hotel coffee.   Just two minutes later, I created a  satisfying breakfast consisting of 25 grams of whole grains and 10 grams of protein with only a 1/2 cup of skim milk.   So yum and what a convenient breakfast choice too!

Quaker Oats Yogurt Cups with sliced apples!

While I was down at the hotel breakfast bar grabbing a carton of milk, and totally avoiding my name being called out by the sweet , sugary breakfast rolls,  I  grabbed an apple and thought I would add some  dipped apple slices  in to my lil’ breakfast party! Yum!

Quaker Yogurt Cups at Walmart

I found these Quaker® Real Medleys® Yogurt Cups  at Walmart  in the cold or ready-to-eat section of the cereal aisle.  They’re also the first shelf-stable convergence of granola, fruit and yogurt combined in to a single serve cup.  So cool, huh?  You can also be on the lookout for an upcoming Quaker Real Medleys product demo at a supporting Walmart near you between the dates of 8/13 – 8/16.

If you download the Blippar app from the Apple or Android store, you can  scan the package to  receive information tutorials on Quaker® Real Medleys® Yogurt Cups.

Since I  was so excited about my lil’ Breakfast Party for the Taste Buds I created in my hotel room {and the kiddos were still asleep}, I took my Crunchy.Cool. Yum party out to the pool !   Seriously, love that all you have to do is add cold milk, stir, eat and of course don’t forget the important part,  Enjoy!
