You know how the saying goes “Ice Cream, Ice Cream, we all SCREAM for Ice Cream”.   My kids are always asking {not screaming, of course} for ice cream.  Especially during these long and hot Summer months.   They don’t even mind going to the grocery store with me ’cause  they know they’ll be able to pick out out their own flavs and yes, a lil’ bit of bribery helps too.

The kiddos flavors choices for this past week  were DREYER’s SLOW CHURNED  Mini Chocolate Chip and Caramel Delight Ice Creams.    Their flavor choices inspired me to make Grasshopper and Turtle Mini Ice Cream Sandwiches with Grasshopper and Turtles toothpick toppers.    I know, it doesn’t take much to get my creative juices  flowing.  Seriously tho, anything mini is just fun!  Add in a grasshopper and turtle toothpick topper with googly eyes, now that’s just super fun

Use Dryers Slow Churned Mint Chocolate Chip t Ice Cream to make mini Grasshopper Ice Cream Sandwiches

To make the Grasshopper Mini Ice Cream Sandwiches, I scrapped off the creme in the middle of a chocolate sandwich cookie, then scooped up DREYER’s SLOW CHURNED  Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream and placed it between  the two cookies and rolled the sides in chocolate sprinkles.

To make the Turtles Mini Ice Cream Sandwiches, I also scrapped off the creme in the middle of a chocolate sandwich cookie then scooped up DREYER’s SLOW CHURNED Caramel Delight Ice Cream and placed it between the two cookies and rolled the sides in chopped pecans.

The really fun part of the Mini Ice Cream Sandwiches are the Grasshopper and Turtles toothpick toppers.   To make the toppers, I used my Silhouette to cut out the grasshopper and turtle cut files then stuck the lil’ guys on to toothpicks and adhered google eyes on them.  So Caaute!

Seriously, anything in mini size is just funner.  Is funner a word now?  Either way, Mini = Fun!

Yummy Dryer's Ice Cream at Alberston's!

We picked up our DREYER’s SLOW CHURNED Ice Cream at Alberston’s.  Check out all the flavors DREYER’s  offers and they also have Frozen Custard flavors too!

These are adorable! I love the chocolate-y cookie part of an Oreo, but not the cream center so this is perfect!.

These look so yummy and simple enough to make for a playdate. I do have a very important question, though. What do you do with all of the leftover oreo cream? I’m afraid I would eat it all…

These are absolutely adorable! I love how you put the little turtles on them. I enjoy Dreyer’s Ice cream, so this is going to be delicious. Thanks for sharing your recipe.
