Candy Corn Wood Blocks

September 28, 2012 by Holly Gagnon 16 Comments

It’s not even October yet and my daughter and I have already finished off a bag of candy corn!   I’ve mentioned this before that my daughter loves candy.  Who am I kidding?  I love candy too, especially  those little pumpkins that come in the candy corn Harvest Mix.   I

Candy Corn Wood Blocks are an easy craft to make for any Halloween candy lover.

Candy Corn Wood Blocks

Unfortunately, these Candy Corn  Wood Blocks aren’t edible which may be a good thing depending on how you look at it.

How to turn wood blocks in to Candy Corn. Easy decoration for Halloween!

To make these candy corns, I cut and sanded wood blocks in three different sizes so I would be able to stack them.  I painted one set regular candy corn colors then painted the other set purple.  I just like purple at Halloween.  After the paint was dried, I  sprayed them with  gloss spray and then adhered them together with hot glue.

Candy Corn Wood Blocks are an easy craft to make for any Halloween candy lover.

To decorate the the Candy Corn Wood Blocks up a bit, I adhered gems on the front, wrapped them with Halloween ribbons and  added  a stamped a Halloween sentiment.  Totally a fun Halloween project to make for any age or for any candy lover.

Too cute! We love candy corn at our house too. Last year I made a “candy corn specimen art” craft. By the end of the week all of the candy corns (and the hot glue!) had been chewed off! Gah!
