Halloween Button Bats

October 7, 2015 by Holly Gagnon 15 Comments

Looking for a simple Halloween project to add a lil’ spookiness along your walls or doors?  Halloween Button Bats are easy to make and add a little bit of whimsical fun in to your Halloween Decor.  Seriously, who wants to have ugly, creepy  bats hangin’ up in their house? #exterminator

The Button Bats are cut  with my Silhouette CAMEO using a Silhouette Bat cut file  and Pebbles Inc Halloween paper.    If you don’t have a die  cutting machine, these bats could be easily traced and cut out by hand by using a  bat template.

After the paper bats were cut out, I adhered black buttons on to the front of each one.  To add a little bit of detail, I  threaded each button with twine and used a white gel pen to add faux stitching around the edges.

When you’re ready to hang the Button Bats on the wall,  bend the wings  up a bit to add  some dimension to make these cute bats look like they are flying off the wall.

Simple Halloween Button Bats are an easy Halloween craft to make to add a little bit of spooky on your Halloween walls.
