Halloween Witch Centerpiece

October 21, 2015 by Holly Gagnon 2 Comments

I’ve added a few big Halloween project in to my decor this year and a Halloween Witch Centerpiece is one of them.  I get so  excited  for Halloween !  I can almost  taste my kiddo’s candy and yes, I’m one of “those parents” that digs the good stuff out of the kids Trick or Treat bucket.  Just inspecting the candy, making sure it’s safe. #noshame

Halloween Witch Centerpiece made with Flora Craft Foam and paint. Love the Spooky Moon!

So, back to  my awesome Halloween Witch Centerpiece.  FloraCraft® invited me to participate in a Halloween Blitz project where I would recreate a Halloween project using my own style and flare inspired by the FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Foam, 2015 Halloween e-book .  Yes, I know,  so Fun!  It’s amazing what a box of random, white foam shapes can be turned in to.

FloraCraft Disc painted green like a spooky Halloween moon\

First, I painted a 8″ Foam Disc with  lime green paint since I was going for a spooky moon look.  I just love how the paint color and texture of the foam really does make the disc look like a spooky Halloween moon.

Silhouette Witch and Boojm cut file looks so cool on a foam Moon

I then used my Silhouette CAMEO to cut out an Echo Park  Paper Witch cut file and base.

Spray painted foam block

The base of the witch centerpiece is made from a 5 ” Foam Cube that I spray painted black.

Centerpiece base made with foam, stick and moss

I covered the painted foam square with moss and secured a tree branch in to the center using hot glue.  Luckily, my son likes to collect sticks so I was able to run out to his stick pile and find a unique one that would work and yes, he did ask me where the stick came from when he saw this project.   Sorry buddy.

Black Crows from Dollar Store as Halloween Centerpiece

On the base of the centerpiece, I adhered  two black crows that I picked up at the Dollar Stores.   Random tid-bit, I don’t really care for black crows.  The birds not the the band.  I spend a lot of time shooing off those pesky things  off but I have no problem buying fake ones from the Dollar Store.  #lifeofacraftblogger

Silhouette Witch and Spooky Moon made with Flora Craft

I adhered the  witch and black ribbon on to the foam disc and embellished  the {my son’s } stick with some cool jute stamped ribbon.

I love this! Such beautiful details, from the tape measure ribbon, to the plaid witch, and crooked tree branch. Thank you!
