Everything looks better in jar, even Winter. I can easily say that since this jar of fake snow is about the most snow I’ll see this Winter. Either way, this Winter Snow Jar is still a cute and easy project to make with lots of possibilities.

Winter Snow Jar
Sometimes, I’m amazed at what inspires me to create a project. Like cleaning out an empty sauce jar while doing the dishes inspired this whole idea of a jar filled with paper trees and fake snow.
I guess that means my creative brain is never turned off. Or, there’s finally a Silver Lining in doing the dishes.
To make the Winter Snow Jar, I used my Silhouette CAMEO, Echo Park Paper Hello Winter collection and a Pine Tree cut file.
The paper trees are cut out in two different sizes, 3 times each. The trees are scored down the center adhering three trees together to make one dimensional. tree. Confused? Just think 3D trees.
After the trees are assembled, use hot glue to adhere a wood dowel inside each tree then apply stamping ink around the edges for dimension.
The lid of the ajar is covered with Decorative Washi Tape that coordinates with the Hello Winter collection too. Isn’t Washi tape great, so many random things you can do with it. Love it!
To assemble the Winter Snow Jar, hot glue the trees in to the bottom of the jar, add fake snow on the bottom, wrap a white ribbon around the top and embellish the jar with a decorative brad and sticker.
This Winter Snow Jar made from an up-cycled sauce jar and tree cut files is a creative way to bring in a little bit of Winter Snow in to your home without needing to wear the mittens.
