Sticky Note Message Board Holder

January 10, 2017 by Holly Gagnon 5 Comments

Something that drives me crazy, is not being able to find a pen that works or a piece of paper to write on.  Just plain drives me crazy!  So, to help eliminate this issue in the New Year, I created a Sticky Note Message Board Holder made out of pretty scrapbooking paper and filled it up with Pilot G2 Premium Pens.

Everyone seems to try and get a little more organized in the New Year.  Have you seen the plastic bins and tubs piled up for sale at Target?   People like to neatly store their stuff.  I like to keep a pen and paper readily available on the counter and not stashed in the drawers.  Did I mention how it drives me crazy when I can’t find them?

To make this Sticky Note Message Board Holder, I used my Silhouette CAMEO to cut out a 3D Easel Sticky Note Message Board cut file using  nautical inspired paper.

When I found this file in the Silhouette Store,  I thought it would be a great way to keep my pens and sticky notes readily available .    My husband says I should just write a note in my phone but there’s just something about writing it down and crossing it off that I love.  Plus, I’m just old school.

After the 3D Easel Sticky Note Message Board was assembled, I wrapped jute twine around it, added a wood button and filled the Message Board with sticky notes and G2 Target Fashion Collection Pilot Pens and G2 Metallics pens.

Lookie there,  I’ve already have my grocery list started!  I love these Pilot G2 Target Fashion Collection Pilot Pens and G2 Metallics Pens!  They write longer,  include four point sizes and come in 15 vibrant colors.  Now, I can write my notes in so many pretty colors too!

I also tend to be a little bit selfish and an everyday overachiever when it comes to sharing my pens too.  These pens are mine, they belong in my new  Sticky Note Message Board Holder and Mama sure doesn’t want to  find them on the kids bedroom floors.

Seriously, why would you want to keep your notes in your phone when you can use so many pretty colors of ink to write with?

Loved your sticky note holder. But I feel like some how we are losing the crafting ability while using an electronic file. This could have been done using a paper cutter, a nice scoring board and scissors. Just my humble opinion.

I love this little organiser and I would love to make one. The trouble is, I do not have an electronic cutting machine and you do not include the dimensions for this project. So I tend to agree with Lizzie, otherwise it would have been fun to try.

Hi Janet, I did use a diet cutting machine on this project. You may be able to re-create it by just folding paper. Good luck! Holly

Hi Georgiana, it’s a Silhouette cut file so the directions can be found with the assembly from Silhouette store . Thanks
