It’s hard to believe the New Year is almost here. Time really does fly! We’ve always stayed home to ring in the New Year. The kids always make big plans to stay up till midnight but they’ve yet to make it till the clock strikes 12. So, if they happen to keep there lil’ peepers open this year, I made them New Year’s Eve Shakers {noise makers} out of pillow boxes.

Here’s a lil’ secret. We live on the West Coast so we’re actually able to watch the New Year’s Eve bash Live in NYC when it’s only 9:00 pm here. Sorta cheating but it works for us.
The Shaker are made from a We R Memory Keepers Pillow Box Punch Board and the Pebbles Inc Home + Made collection papers.
I added popcorn kernels inside the box to use as the noise maker. You could use rice, beans or anything really as the noise maker ,you just don’t want the boxes to be too heavy and break apart. I hot glued the ends of the box together and stuck them on a craft stick.
The New Year’s Eve Shakers are embellished with Pebbles Inc Home+Made decorative tapes, Alpha Thickers, gold stickers, glitter tape and ribbon . Such a fun and easy project to Ring in the New Year with either at the stroke of Midnight or earlier!
