St. Patrick’s Day Frames

March 7, 2014 by Holly Gagnon 1 Comment

Besides making Leprechaun traps with the kiddo’s and having a Leprechaun House on standby in case we do catch the lil’ guy,  I decided to add some  St. Patrick’s Day Frames in to my home decor made from Dollar Store frames and St. Patrick’s Day embellishments.

St. Patrick's Day Frames made with painted dollar store frames, burlap and scrapbooking paper. Easy St. Patrick's Day home decor craft.

Yep, Dollar Store goods, burlap and stickers.  How can you go wrong??  I love the way these frames turned out for the amount of time and money it cost me.

Dollar Store Frames painted white then distressed with sandpaper. Easy upcycle!

To make the frames, I painted them with a  few coats of  DecoArt  paint then lightly distressed them with sandpaper.

The frames are embellished with burlap, Echo Park paper St Patrick’s Day  scrapbooking paper, stickers and Hemptique rainbow cord.

Paper Pot-O-Gold cut with Silhouette and filled up with chocolate gold coins.

Since my frames were super simple to make,  I decided to make what every Leprechaun chases, a Pot o’ Gold .   My Pot o’ Gold is cut with my Silhouette CAMEO and embellished with stickers and more Hemptique cord.   Love that rainbow Hemp Cord, just perfect for St. Patty’s Day too.
