When it comes to using a Silhouette to create wood projects, paint or vinyl tend to be the popular choice but paper is another media to consider. Plus, the great thing about paper is that it can easily be removed if you decide you want to change things up a bit.
This Shamrock Pallet Art is made from a scrap piece of pallet wood and St Patrick’s Day scrapbooking paper. Since I am constantly creating something, I can’t possibly keep everything I make so I like to create projects that can easily be switched out, especially seasonal decor.

Today, I’m excited to be sharing this tutorial on how to make a Pallet Wood and Paper Sign over on the Silhouette School Blog. I’ll be honest, when I was asked what I was going to create for my guest post on Melissa’s blog, I was at a lil’ lost for ideas. Seriously, The Silhouette School Blog has everything, I mean everything you need to know about the Silhouette Machine so what could I possibly “School” anyone about?
So since I’m a papercrafter at heart, that’s exactly what I created, a tutorial on how to make Shamrock Pallet Art out of Scrapbooking paper and pallet wood to inspire the Silhouette School readers how easily it can be done.
Over on the Silhouette School Blog you can see my steps on how I created and layered the Shamrock using the Offset function. The Shamrock is adhered on to the the pallet with hot glue and the wood is painted with a dry brush technique to provide the distressed look. I tied the bottom of the sign with rainbow twine and added a gold button .
This Shamrock Pallet Art really is a simple Holiday Decor project to create using your Silhouette and I hope it inspires to incorporate Silhouette shapes cut out of paper in to your home decor projects.
