I’d Rather Be Gaming Sign

March 24, 2016 by Holly Gagnon Leave a Comment

It was time to start pulling my son’s room out of random Kid-ness decor in to Tween-ish.  He’s not really interested about his furniture nor if  his room is all matchy-matchy but one thing he is interested in is,  Video Games.  Like most kids now a days , he’s a Gamer so this I’d Rather be Gaming  Sign attitude is definitely more important than doing his homework, taking a shower, sleeping, etc., etc.

I’d Rather Be Gaming Sign

To update my Son’s room to Tween, I had to basically purge his room.  I can’t believe the amount of stuff that was in his closet!  Packed full of things  he’s definitely outgrown as well finding a few dishes and spoons  that were MIA too.    But, My Labor of Love was totally worth it especially when I found this Green Speech Bubble IKEA Board hidden in there which also happened to be the exact same color I painted his dresser in!

Don’t you love it when you find random things you didn’t know you own?  Total Jackpot!  The board is actually called a Noticeboard but basically, it’s a foam tack board that can be used to tack things up.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out black Heat Transfer Vinyl from ProWorld using a BAUHAUS 93  font.   We picked the words together and he picked out the font.  I think he did a pretty good job too!

The letters ironed on easily on to the foam board.  So, what would you Rather Be Doing?  I know for sure,  I’d Rather {not} Be Gaming but he would and it’s his room so he loves his sign.

I hope this project inspires you to clean out your kids closets, in search for lost treasures just like this tack board I turned in to a I’d rather Be Gaming Sign that help update my son’s room in to a Tween room.
