Front Door Makeover

I’m kinda embarrassed to show you my front door before it received it’s makeover. I’m not sure why it tool me so long to give it some much needed TLC since I love decorating the inside of my home. A front door really should be a welcoming statement, right?

The front door is the first thing visitors see whey they come for a visit. It really should be welcoming and I think my new blue door does just that. Isn’t the shade of blue fantastic?!

Here’s the before front door. Embarrassing. Honestly though, I think this picture makes it looks worse than it really was. And for some reason, I thought it was OK to hang ONE wreath on a double door. Ahhh.. hello front door faux paux!

Besides the amazing shade of blue I chose for the front door, FrogTape® brand painter’s tape was extremely helpful in creating the crisp lines I needed around the door.

FrogTape® is the only painting tape treated with patented PaintBlock® Technology which is a super-absorbent polymer that reacts with the water in latex paint to instantly form a micro-barrier sealing the edges of the tape, preventing the paint bleeding while creating crisp, clean lines the first time.

FrogTape® adhered easily along the door hardware, masking the areas I didn’t want to get paint on.

After two coats of paint and when dry to touch, the FrogTape® pulled off easily leaving clean, crisp lines.

I absolutely love the way my front door turned out! This much needed front door makeover was really simple to do with paint, FrogTape® and some outdoor decor.
