This Farmhouse Home Sign is not only a simple Farmhouse DIY to create but you most likely have all the supplies you need on hand.
Farmhouse Home Sign
I bet if you shop your home, you already have a wood board, white paint and a faux wreath somewhere in your house especially if you love Farmhouse style. Shopping your home is the best! I always, always find treasures I forgot I had. Of course, I also have a lot of treasures so they do tend to get forgotten about.
For this sign, I ended up painting on the back of another sign I had made. My rustic Christmas Noel Sign was the perfect size to double for my Farmhouse Home Sign.
To make the sign, I used my Silhouette CAMEO to cut letters out of paper to use as a template. I spaced the letters along the board and placed a tack where I wanted the boxwood wreath to hang.
I then traced the letters on to the board and painted them in with white paint. No worries if you don’t have a die cutting machine, these letters could easily be free hand painted or you could cut out a template with scissors.
After the letters were dry, I lightly sanded the edges to give them a distressed look ’cause we all know, a farmhouse sign can’t look all perfectly painted.
I love how my Farmhouse Home Sign turned out! And to actually think the board sat blank in the corner of my living room for about a month until I decided what I wanted it to say. It also makes me even happier to know that my sign has a double use when Christmas come back around.
