I get really excited to decorate for Halloween.  Not for  gory, scary Halloween.  I like my Halloween traditional yet classy.  If you’ve been following my blog or or on social media,  you already know one of my favorite places to shop for all my seasonal decor is 99 Cents Only Stores.  They seriously have the best stuff!  Not only do I love shopping at the 99, I love to create DIY’s out of 99 finds too.

This DIY Spooky Halloween Mirror I made is from the 99  and the centerpiece of my Spooky Halloween Mantel this year.

Can you believe my Halloween mantel was all created from items from  99 Cents Only Stores?

There’s always something new and exciting at the 99!   I chose to incorporate Halloween items from the 99 Blood Velvet and Haunted House collections.

Supplies to make a Spooky Halloween Mirror

When I saw this  ornate mirror in the 99 home decor aisle, I knew it would be perfect to turn in to a Spooky Halloween Mirror with Looking Glass Spray Paint and a water and vinegar solution.

To create the aged look, I sprayed the mirror with Looking Glass Paint then misted over the paint with a  2:1 water/vinegar solution and lightly dabbed it with a paper towel.  I just  kept repeating the steps until I was happy with the look.

When the mirror paint was dry, I made the mirror look a little more aged by dry brushing black/brown paint lightly around the corners of the mirror.

Then, I spray painted  the outer frame black leaving just a little bit of the original gold showing through.

The rest of my Spooky Halloween Mantel was simple to decorate with tall lanterns, lace pumpkins, stick trees, potion bottles and skulls. I know, you’re probably saying ” You found all this is from the 99?”

Yes, I totally did!

You an only expect the best when you visit the seasonal aisle at the 99!

I love how the 99 makes it so easy to incorporate unique items in to a small budget.  Plus, 99 Cents Only Stores have your favorite name brands at prices that can’t be beat.

I’d love to see how you incorporate your Halloween 99 finds in to your seasonal decor this year.
