Easy way to update a Tween Boy Bedroom

May 16, 2016 by Holly Gagnon Leave a Comment

I’ve been slowly been turning my son’s kids room in to a tween room.  Sigh.   Like most boys of any age, he’s a Star Wars fan and loves his Star Wars bedding but his furniture needed an update as well his bedroom walls was in need of some fresh decor.   IMy son wanted something BIG to put on his walls, I’m pretty crafty but I’m definitely  NOT a  mural painter.  So Fathead  was the answer which ended up being a really easy way to update Tween Boy Bedroom too.

These Fatheads really are awesome!  I’ve seen them on the internet but never in person.  The hardest part about using a Fathead is picking one out since there are  soooo many to choose.  oOf course, my son was all about Star Wars, period.   He could of chose any character but he it was  Boba Fett and his EE3 gun for the win.    BTW, don’t think I know what that gun is called, I asked him and he rattled off the name of Boba’s and some more characters guns.  I wish he could remember his times tables that easily…..

A few months ago, I gave his dresser a Tween Makeover and also made a Gaming Sign to hang in his room.  Obviously the space next to his dresser was a big blank space before Boba Fett  arrived.   He  is definitely  large and in charge now!

My husband was so impressed with the Fathead that he even got involved.  Well, mostly ’cause he was worried I would hang the decal crooked or get it stuck together. Either way, the decal is life size so it  really is a two person job.   My hubs  idea was to trim out around the body leaving the backing on so when we applied it on to the wall and pulled off the backing,  it would be easier to adjust if needed.  Whatever . Lets do it your way.  It totally worked tho.

Fatheads are composed of vibrant images and top quality materials that come in a variety of sizes and are moveable, reusable, and won’t damage walls.”
