Spring is here and since my seasonal decor needed a lil’ refreshing, I made DIY Easter Wood Blocks to add in to my Spring Decor this year made with wood blocks and Scrapbooking paper.
DIY Easter Wood Blocks
I love little projects made out wood. I love how you can take a plain wood block and pretty much turn it into anything and that’s exactly what I did to make these.
To make these Easter Wood Blocks, I painted various sizes of wood blocks that I had cut out of scrap wood with paint then lightly distressed them with sandpaper.
Each block is embellished with buttons and scrapbooking paper and stickers found uin the Echo Paper Paper Hippity Hoppity kit.
I decided to add a Pinwheel in to one of the blocks. I love the whimsical feel of pinwheels and are a simple addition to any Spring decor and easy to make too. .
How to make a Pinwheel
- Cute a piece of paper in to a square. I used 4 x 4 inch square to make this pinwheel.
- Cut each corner diagonally in to the center. Don’t cut all the way through though!
- Adhere a glue dot in to the center and fold each corner in.
- Embellish with a button and stick on a paper straw.
I made a paper Easter basket to add on another block. I used my Silhouette to cut out an Easter Basket cut file using more patterned papers from the Hippity Hoppity kit. Love my Easter Wood Blocks and look forward to enjoying them in my Spring Decor!
