My kids totally get a kick out of our Wood Block Halloween Family. It originally started back when I made the wood block ghosts then the idea came about to create a Halloween character for the whole family.

This Halloween Family was totally inexpensive to make too and could pretty much be made out of supplies found around the house. Can you guess which member I represent? The Mummy, of course. I tell my kids, I may be outta sight but Mummy is ALWAYS watching. ^cue the evil laugh.. Bahahaha

My Halloween Family is made out of a 2 x 6 wood board that I cut to size using my jig saw then sanded, distressed and painted the boards.
I decorated Frankenstein, which represents Dad, using black felt for hair and eyebrows added google eyes then used a black Sharpie marker to make Frank’s face.
The Mummy is wrapped with gauze that I found in my son’s Boy Scout first aid kit ( I told you supplies around the house! ) and added spooky google eyes underneath. The two ghost represents, my kids and these cuties are decorated with google eyes, ribbons, buttons curled wire.

I have my my Wood Block Halloween Family displayed together with faux chains. Super easy to make too, click to see how to make these realistic Faux Chains.
Love the way my Wood Block Halloween Family turned out. Easy to make, inexpensive and they always make the kids smile too.
