The kids will want to sit at the dinner table with this Tiered Tray Easter Basket as the Spring centerpiece.  Of course, it may be hard for the kids not to sneak a piece of candy in before dinner is served too.

Easter Basket Tiered Tray is a creative centerpice idea to fill up with Easter candy

I’ve been wanting to make a DIY tiered tray project like this for a while now.  What’s even better is I already had most of  the supplies on hand.  My kids always look forward my seasonal decor around the house.  Especially when it’s a trays full of their favorite candy’s too.

How to make a three Tiered Tray Easter Basket

The Tiered Tray Easter Basket  is made from three, unfinished wood crates and wood dowels.

After  the trays were painted a pink base coat, I used white paint and a dry-brush technique to give them a distressed , chippy look.   When the paint was dry, I used Gorilla Glue to adhere the  wood dowels in between the trays.

Spring Vinyl adhered on wood baskets

Since this is a Easter Basket,  I used my Silhouette CAMEO to cut out the words Happy Spring out of vinyl  and adhered the vinyl on to the bottom tray.

Now for the fun part.  Filling up the Tiered Tray Easter Basket with Nestlé candy .   The tray  is filled with  SweeTARTS Chicks, Ducks, and Bunnies, Springtime Fun Dip, Nerds Rope, a Nestlé candy Scrambled Egg as well as Nestle Egg Filler to fill up the  plastic Easter Eggs .

All these candy’s happen to by my family’s  favorites too.  They’re also are the perfect size  for filling Easter eggs up with and decorating candy dishes just like this Tiered Tray Easter Basket.

The SweeTARTS Chicks, Ducks & Bunnies are classic SweeTARTS that come in fun Easter shapes too.  So cute, huh?  The Easter shapes would look super cute as decorations on Spring cakes, and cookies too.

I think my Tiered Tray Easter Basket looks so pretty filled up with candy that I don’t even want anyone to take any.

I love being that mom who likes to incorporate simple and seasonal projects in to family time.   That simple gesture always puts a smile on my kids faces too!
