I’ve been wanting to do something rustic in the entryway of our home for a while now.   The wall was basically a big, blank canvas screaming to be covered in pallet wood or better yet,  mouth drooling Shiplap.  Yes, I do watch to much  Fixer Upper.

Since we do live in a rental house,  I really can’t do anything major like creating a gorgeous,  permanent rustic wall but no one can stop me from hanging up removable wallpaper.

So, that’s exactly  what I did to achieve my Farmhouse Flair.  This  Shiplap wallpaper easily created my rustic wood wall that i desired to achieve that fabulous Farmhouse Flair in our rental house.

Besides a sofa table, this entryway wall was a big blank canvas just dying to become rustic.  Well, that what I heard the wall telling to me do.  Also, the  former owners kindly left this unique, rustic wood coat rack on the wall too which just happened to incorporate perfectly with my Shiplap wall.

In order to achieve my temporary, rustic wall,  I used removable  Shiplap Wallpaper from WallPops.
How to apply Shiplap Wallpaper

The wallpaper was simple to apply especially since it self adhesive and easy to remove and re-position if needed.   The hardest part of the whole project was aligning up the faux wood grain planks  between the columns.  Of course, I also measured incorrectly which caused me to run out about 3/4 through which resulted in waiting over 2 weeks for another roll to arrive in the mail.   Gah!

Ta Dah!  I know, it really did turn out sooo great too.  It definitely, adds a rustic yet subtle Farmhouse Flair on my entryway wall.

Glade Candle White

The best part about any DIY, home project  is the staging.   I like to “shop my house” since I  have so many favorite, vintage pieces scattered throughout the house too.   Since candles are a must in any vintage vignette,  I incorporated  The NEW Atmosphere Collection™ Fine Home Fragrance by Glade® in to my new Shiplap entryway.

I’ve always been a huge fan of candles and love the smell of pretty scents when I walk through the door.

The simple label on the Jar Candles are perfect too.   That label pretty much screams Farmhouse Flair in my opinion.

I’m in love with my new entryway and  how simple the removable Shiplap wallpaper was to hang.  It really does add that temporary Farmhouse Flair I was looking for in our rental home.
