When it comes to Summer fun, my daughter and I are all about throwing pool parties. No matter why type of party we are planning for, our first stop is a visit to our 99 Cents Only Stores . We can always count on the 99 to find the cutest and trending decor to help kick off the start of Summer 3with our Let’s Flamingo Pool Party.
During our last 99 visit, they had us at Flamingos. Growing up in Florida, I’ve always had a soft spot for anything flamingo. My 13 year old self may of had a flamboyance of flamingos as her teenage bedroom decor. Not kidding, everything was flamingo themed.
For our first pool party of the season, we were able to find everything and more to throw a Let’s Flamingo Pool Party . Tablecloths, flamingo plates, cups, bowls, a grass table skirt and many other decorations were all found on the 99 seasonal aisle.
I’ve hosted many parties over the years and I can always count on the 99 to help me stay on budget offering the best prices compared to other party stores. I am definitely a “99’er” for life!
Of course not only does the 99 make decorating easy, craft projects are inexpensive to make as well. The 99 pretty much sells everything you might need to create a simple project like a Pool Noodle Cactus.
To make a Pool Noodle Cactus, cut a green pool noodle in to three different lengths. Round off the ends to make them look like a cactus. Adhere them together in to a pot ( from the 99 of course!) and insert toothpicks randomly around the noodles turning them in to a prickly cactus. I made them more colorful by adding a few Summer blooms coming out of the tops.
My Pool Noodle Cactus idea really did turn out better than I imagined. Plus, this project cost less than $5 to make as well as leaving additional supplies to make more.
While shopping for our Let’s Flamingo Party, we found large palm fronds to make a potted plant out of . To make the pant, I secured the fronds in to a foam block inside a terracotta pot. Then, just filled the pot with rocks from our backyard. Seriously, where else can create a 3 foot faux plant for less than $10 bucks?
The 99 also has plenty of snacks and fresh produce to choose from for Summer parties. 99 Cents Only Stores have all kinds of favorite name brands at a price that can’t be beat.
To make a refreshing Summer drink, I made an easy Summer punch out of lemonade and frozen mixed berries. The beverage container was also found at the 99 and I used a chalk pen to write on the label.
The 99 Cents Only Store is the perfect place to shop for all of your summer fun on a budget. The highlight of our party, was this jumbo inflatable Flamingo!
The pool isn’t the only the best party of a party, the food has to be fun and yummy too.
Our Let’s Flamingo Pool Party snacks consisted of bagged popcorn and Goldfish cracker mix, vanilla sugar wafers, sour candy ropes, fresh sliced watermelon and frozen ice pops.
The flamingo picks were perfect to when serving fresh watermelon slices. The mixed berry lemonade punch turned out so flavorful and refreshing.
So how are you gonna 99 this Summer??
