I’m all about easy Halloween costumes. I tend to go for the enhanced, store bought look. It’s just easier for me to add touches here and there to the bones of the costume rather than make it from scratch. Especially, since I’m totally a lame seamstress. My daughter’s Easy Emoji Halloween Costume is the perfect example of that enhanced, store bought look too.

Since my daughter Birthday is right after Halloween, sometimes we continue the theme of her costume on to a party theme. One of my favorites was her Lalaloopsy Party. Since Emoji’s are pretty easy to decorate for we continue with the Emoji theme straight on to a full blown birthday party.
To make this Easy Emoji Costume, I used my Silhouette CAMEO and glitter heat transfer vinyl create a DIY Emoji shirt. I designed the emoji shapes on my Silhouette software then cut out the shapes. My daughter liked the heart eye emoji the best and luckily, it probably the easiest one to make too.
You actually don’t even need a die cutting machine to make your own DIY emoji shirts. By just using scissors and a template you can easily cut out emoji faces with heat transfer vinyl.
I own like every craft tool there is except for a heat press. Gah! So, to adhere the heat transfer on to the shirt, I used and old fashioned iron. And Voila! a DIY Emoji shirt to complete her Easy Emoji Costume.
The rest of the costume I ordered off Amazon. No way was I going to search around town for a yellow tutu, leggings, yellow pony tail extension (her idea) and heart sunglasses when it can all come to my door with Prime.

The other Emoji Shirts for her party were kept simple too. Like cool face, crying face, crazy face, etc. I actually don’t even know if those are the correct names for those emoji faces but that’s what I call them.
My daughter also jazzed the costume up with bracelets and we face painted her cheeks with emoji hearts. Love the way her Emoji Halloween Costume turned out an I think she looks pretty darn cute too.
