DIY Milk Glass Jars

February 18, 2018 by Holly Gagnon 5 Comments

Love the look of Milk Glass?   I’m always drawn to the gorgeous Milk Glass pieces I find in vintage stores.  Of  course, my eyeballs always seem to  like the most expensive pieces too.  To add a little bit of Milk Glass, in to my Farmhouse Style decor, I created my own version of DIY Milk Glass Jars that cost a whole lot less than real, vintage Milk Glass.

DIY Milk Glass is not only easy to create in your own, you can also turn those stashed away glassware in to something unique.  That’s waht’s great about Milk Glass, it can be found in various shapes.  Plus, Milk Glass definitely screams Farmhouse Flair in my opinion.

Tutorial on how to make DIY Milk Glass.

Since I had these  lidded glass jars stashed away for a while now, I thought the glass jars would be perfect to turn in to my own version of  DIY Milk Glass Jars.

To make my DIY Milk Glass, I applied dots around the jars using  DecoArt Liquid Glass.    To prevent the dots from dripping, lay the glass flat while you’re applying the Liquid Glass .  Let the dots set for about 10 minutes, then rotate on to the next area.  Keep doing this technique until the glass is covered.

Letthe Liquid Glass dots dry over night then spray paint the jars with white spray paint.

I loved the way  my DIY Milk Glass turned out and they are the perfect size as little succulent holders.  Also a prefect addition in to a Farmhouse Style home too.
