How to make a Crepe Paper Flower Wreath

May 30, 2016 by Holly Gagnon 1 Comment

There’s something about a Patriotic Decor that I love.  Of course, it might also mean if people are hanging up the Red, White and Blue decor it’s Summertime!   Either way, a Crepe Paper Flower Wreath is a inexpensive and creative media  to make flowers with and really brings a big, bold statement in to your home decor.

I’m thrilled to be a part of the new FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Team and I’m excited to share my first project with you.  The challenge assignment this month was to create a Spring/Summer wreath using a FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Foam Wreath.   As you see,  I decided to go with a Patriotic theme first of all since it’s  Memorial Day and secondly, because July 4th is fast approaching and I wanted to make  a new red, white and blue wreath anyways.

To make this Crepe Paper Flower Wreath, I wrapped a FloraCraft® Make It: Fun 14″ Foam Wreath with white crepe paper then followed my tutorial on How to Make Crepe Paper Flowers

After what seemed like I made like a ton of Crepe Paper Flowers, I adhered them on  to the foam wreath in a red, white and  blue pattern using hot glue.

After the wreath foam was covered in flowers, I  adhered a pretty denim  and stars ribbon bow on the top.

I love the look of Crepe Paper Flowers and think my Patriotic Crepe Paper Wreath turned out great .  Crepe Paper Flowers really do make a pretty statement and since crepe paper can be found in all colors and patterns , the crepe paper flower possibilities are endless.
