Cereal Box Mini Album

March 27, 2015 by Holly Gagnon 2 Comments

How often do you toss out that empty cereal box unknowingly that’s actually a crafting item?  Psst.. you’re throwing out chipboard!  Gasp!!   Yes,  cereal boxes are actual thin chipboard and it’s easy to work with.  I made this simple DIY Cereal Box Mini Album out of  a couple of guess what??   Cereal boxes and the Echo Park Paper  Best Friends Mini Theme Kit.

Now, I’m not suggesting you become a craft hoarder and keep every- single-empty  cereal box  but, you may want to keep a few on hand for future craft projects.  It’s cheap, easy to find and work with and it’s especially prefect to use for kid and tween projects.

Use cereal boxes to make chipboard mini albums

To make this Bestie Mini Album, I cut the cereal boxes in the shape and size I  wanted  my album to be and covered it with various patterned papers.

Each page of the Mini Album is embellished with stickers and journaling cards found in the Echo Park Paper Best Friends Mini Kit.

Hello Bestie Mini Album made from cereal boxes

When you’re finished covering the Mini Album pages, punch holes in the end off the album using a hole punch, clip together with metal book rings and tie colorful ribbon around rings.

This,  Cereal Box Mini Album would make a great end of school photo album,  memory book or to keepsakes with autographs of friends.
