Valentine’s Love Yarn Door Hanger

February 9, 2013 by Holly Gagnon 35 Comments

  So, I’m one of those people who likes to go all out an decorate for all the seasons.  I always create new projects to add in to my seasonal .  This year,  I made a Valentine’s Love Yarn Door hanger.
Valentine's Love Door Hanger. Chipboard love sign wrapped with yarn and decoupaged with Valentine's paper.

{this post contains affliate links referencing products used}

 This love  hanger is made from a Love chipboard letters I found at the craft store.

My original idea was to wrap this entire chipboard plaque that I spray painted white,  with yarn.  Well, that idea was short lived since I found it very difficult to wrap these letters in yarn.  I did satisfy my yarn wrapping fix by just wrapping the letter “O”. That was the easy letter.

Valentine's Love Yarn Door Hanger

I then used Mod Podge to adhere the pretty Valentines paper on the other letters that did not play nice with my yarn.  I also added a few die cut hearts and made a paper ribbon flower.

Valentine's Love Yarn Door Hanger

My Valentine’s Love Yarn Door Hanger still needed some more love so I adhered little buttons using Ultra Thin Glue Dots®, curled some green wire and added a pink crinkle ribbon to hang it up.  {love!}

    Ha! I love the story about how only letter got wrapped! Those little buggars can be so hard to do, so I hear you! However, I think it looks perfect, like you had planned it that way! I L-O-V-E this! My favorite is the buttons and the heart that you filled with the buttons! You knock this one out of the park and you can thank Northridge for not getting your other project back so you could be inspired to make this one!
