Heart Box

February 12, 2013 by Holly Gagnon 16 Comments

Over on the Basic Grey Blog this month they’re having a Fact or Fiction Challenge and by golly….I just happened to receive those two paper packs in the mail from a design team product swap.  Just another nice perk of being a Dottess for Glue Dots®, fun product swap with other companies.Anyways, the Fact or Fiction packs are awesome. They smell pretty.  I had to play along in there Fact or Fiction challenge and alter a Heart Box from the Dollar Store.

Paper Mache Heart Box

Dollar Store Heart Box

The red polka-dot Fact paper screamed Valentines out at me when I was smelling flipping through the pack.  It’s so perfect for Valentines Day.  It needed a home on this heart box {dollar bin deal}.

I trimmed out my pretty papers to embellish the box, made a paper ribbon flower, added a few rhinestones and then stuck a doily on the front {dollar bin deal}. What’s a Valentines project without a doily, right?

I then added a punched heart out of the Fiction pack and stuck some cute stick pins that I found in my stash to pull the colors together.  Pretty cute and simple gift box if I say so myself.

 Basic Grey and Glue Dots
Thanks Basic Grey and Glue Dots® for the goods!

If you have any of the Fact of Fiction collection to play with; you have until Feb 28th to upload your project on the Basic Grey Flicker page.
