Triangle Treat Boxes

July 14, 2014 by Holly Gagnon 5 Comments

Hi Everyone!  Phew, It’s been a while since I’ve posted a project.  Vacation and the lazy days of Summer have taken up my time.  Actually, I haven’t been very lazy at all with traveling, breaking up fights and purging closets.  The sound of lazy Summer days just sounded better.

Sharing with you today fun DIY Triangle Treat Boxes I made from the Echo Park Paper Captured Life kit and a Carrot Box cut-file.  Yes, that is {well was} a 3D Carrot Box cut- file. Cleverly cute, huh?

My design team assignment was to turn a Echo Park Carrot Box cut file into a treat box, sans carrot theme.  OK.  Well, I’m always up for a good challenge and a good ol’ treat box so using  the Silhouette software, I altered the Carrot Box cut file and turned it into a Triangle Cone Box.

The treat boxes are embellished with Echo Park Captured Life Element Stickers & Alpha Stickers and fun Pom-Pom ribbons I picked up over at Pick Your Plum a while ago.

Carrot Box Cut File

I altered the Carrot Box cut file by erasing the box flaps from the image.  Now, I know, I could of just cut the whole image out then cut off the flaps with scissors but that’d mean I’d waste precious patterned paper. Gasp! These Captured Life papers are just too cute to waste now.

Love the way these Triangle Treat Boxes turned out, super simple and I can totally see theme holding some tasty party snacks.

I hope this  altered Carrot Box project inspires you to use Echo Park cut files in unique ways.  To view the step by step instructions on how I made these treat boxes, download the free Echo Park PDF file.
