Thankful Gift DIY Glass Etching

November 21, 2011 by Holly Gagnon 17 Comments

The Simply Sunday Challenge this week over at Getting Cricky with K. Andrews  is a “Give Thanks” project. I made these DIY etched glass candle holder’s to give to a few of my girlfriends who can really appreciate a good craft.   I’m thankful for our good conversations and laughs together.

Glass Etching Thanksgiving Gift Idea

This was my first attempt at etching glass and I really like how they turned out.  Looks like it’s right out of a Pottery Barn Magazine, right? Much cheaper too!
I etched the first letter of their last name using Gypsy Font.  I stamped a Thankful sentiment and attached the tag with a button and raffia.

Thanks for looking and Happy Thanksgiving!

Cute Cute Holly! I love glass etching! I made my bro glasses for their kitchen last year for his birthday! He threw his other glasses away and just use the ones I made him:) It’s so fun! Your project does look like it jumped straight out of a Pottery Barn Catalog:) Nice job! Jill♥

Great Pottery Barn-looking candle ensemble, Holly! Glass etching has really caught my eye lately, so I bought some etching cream yesterday online. Now I’m really on the hunt for some ideas. Thanks for the inspiration! 🙂 ~Jen http://happyplaceforjen.blogspot.com/
