I love a good DIY Halloween decoration and each year I seem to add more and more fun Halloween projects into my collection just like this Spooky Halloween Bottle I made from Echo Paper Paper’s Arsenic and Lace collection. Eeek….love this collection, makes me sooo exited for Halloween!
I actually found this {empty} bottle on side of the road one morning during a run. True Story. I liked the shape of it. In someone else’s garbage, I saw a Halloween project. I also provided a Civic Duty picking up trash and yes, I did finish the rest of my morning run with a glass bottle in my hand. #lifeofacraftblogger
To give the glass bottle the aged/distressed look I desired, I painted the bottle with Americana Chalky Finish Paint, let it dry then lightly sanded the bottle with sandpaper and painted a Creme Wax top coat.
The bottle is embellished with Arsenic and Lace Stickers, chipboard accents and a decorative brad. I also used Echo Park Paper’s, Flourish Die to add some details on the sides.
How to make a Rosette:
- Cut 2-1 x 12 inch pieces of patterned paper.
- Using a Score Board, score paper strip at 1/2 inches.
- Mountain/Valley paper strip on score line.
- Adhere ends of strip together using a strong tape.
- Flatten the paper circle and pull together securing with hot glue.
- Hot glue a circle base onto the back to the Rosette
- Embellish front of Rosette
You can find more details on how I used Echo Park Paper’s Arsenic and Lace kit along with the Designer Dies to make this Spooky Halloween Bottle on the the Echo Park Paper Blog.
