Kids Valentine’s Treats

February 13, 2012 by Holly Gagnon 25 Comments

It’s  that time of year to make the Kids Valentine’s  Treats  for their classrooms and that exactly what we did this weekend.   My daughter is 5 and she was totally into making Valentine’s where as my son who is 7 1/2, really didn’t have much interest.  I’m sure he would of preferred the store bought Lego Star Wars Valentine kits if I gave him the choice.   But that’s not happening with this crafty mama, so here’s what we came up with for our….

Kids Super Hero Valentine's Treats. Superhero mask and cape on a lollipops. Such a fun and idea perfect for any Super Hero lover.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane……

Kids Super Hero Valentine's Treats. Superhero mask and cape on a lollipops. Such a fun and idea perfect for any Super Hero lover.

How cute are these guys?  My son wrote his name on the cape and we stamped a “you’re awesome” sentiment.
How to make a Super Hero Cape for Valentine's lollipops

The Cape and Mask are both cut from Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up (Super Hero).

I trimmed the collar off the cape because it was looking more like a vampire cape to me than Super Hero. Punch a whole for the stick ( no tape/glue needed)

The mask on PDDU is only a face mask and I wanted a wrap around mask so I used my Cricut software to stretch and welded 2 rectangles to each side of the mask.   I then used a glue dot to adhere the mask.

The red heart is a punch and the V is from Batman font cut at 1 inch.

For my daughters Valentines, we chose to use the Cricut Paisley Cartridge to make these simply sweet treats.

The cards are cut at 2.63 inches high.
She wrote her name on the heart cut out and stamped a Valentine’s sentiment also.

Such a fun weekend projects I had with the making the Kids Valentine’s treats.   Once my son saw how awesome the Super Hero Lollipops  turned out, he dropped his lame-o attitude and is looking forward  passing  them out.

Thanks for looking and Happy Valentine’s Day!
