Happy National Scrapbooking Day! I used to be a {hard-core} traditional Scrapbooker. I could knock out a 12×12 layout or even a double page layout in no time. My scrapbook paper coordinated with my photos and I’ll even admit sometimes, my photos may have been staged to coordinate with my Scrapbooking papers and embellishments. Hard Core Scrapper.
Even though my traditional Scrapbooking days have passed, I still enjoy Keeping Memories Together {hence the description of my blog} with small home decor projects like these Cork Board Picture Frames.
The Pebbles Design Team have put together a inspiring Blog Hop to celebrate NSD or to you “non-scrappers” out there, National Scrapbooking Day. You may see NSD used frequently in social media land today so, I thought I’d give you a lil’ heads up.
I did use a “type” of Cork Board to make my picture frames but seriously, you will won’t believe what type of cork I used.
Yep- I used {free} Cork Flooring samples from Home Depot. I like Free. The sign said they were free. I even asked an employee to make sure they were free. Yes, I did walk out of the store with 6 samples in my purse and zero plans to lay cork flooring. They were free, just like the paint sticks I like to hoard.
Surprisingly, the cork samples were cut into nice even blocks unlike some of the other {free} flooring samples available and worked great to make a standing picture frame.
I adhered ribbon along the back of the picture frames and embellished them with Pebbles From Me to You papers, stickers, Chips and rub-on’s.
The Cork Board Picture Frames can even be wrapped up to give as a gift.
The talented Pebbles designers have created layouts and memory keeping projects using Pebbles products to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day. Here’s a sneak peek of all the projects in the Hop.
