I heart Paper Mache items. I’ve got a whole cabinet full of different sized boxes, frames and letters stashed away for future projects. Heck, I’ve got a whole cabinet full of all sorts of craft items. No joke. The possibilities of creating with Paper Mache can be endless when it comes to painting and decoupaging with paper and fabrics.
Paper Mache Keepsake Box
I’m sharing with you today a pretty Paper Mache Keepsake Box I made for the EchoPark Paper blog using one of my favorite older collections, Lori Whitlock’s This & That Graceful .
The Paper Mache box is painted with Americana Chalky Finish paint and yes, your eyes are correct, this is a round box and my project is a rectangle box. I wanted to show you how great Paper Mache covers with Chalky Finish paint even though I forgot to take a before picture of my project.
The Paper Mache Keepsake Box is embellished with patterned paper and Element Stickers found in the This & That Graceful collection.
I love how the soft and dark colors complement each other in this collection and the various papers found throughout are a perfect match with the Refreshing Chalky Finish paint color.
I hope this project inspires you to turn boring Paper Mache into pretty and not to forget about some of the older Echo Park collections you may have stashed away.
