Easy Treat Jar and Gift Card Set

May 8, 2015 by Holly Gagnon 3 Comments

Mason Jar crafts are always popular gift ideas.  Giving someone a cute jar filled their favorite treat along with a gift card to their favorite store {ummm- Target?} sounds like a perfect gift to me.  Amiright??

Here’s an Easy Treat Jar and Gift Card Set I made with the Echo Park Paper, We Are Family kit and coordinating Designer Dies & Stamp set.

My kids are at the age now where we give their friends gift cards as birthday presents.  Most parents are over toys.  I know, I am.  Please don’t bring another box of Lego’s into my house…pleazzzz.   So, giving a gift card to a friends favorite store is an easy gift and of course the gift card needs to be presented in a unique holder.

How to make an Easy Gift Card Holder:

Gift Card Holder
1. Cut out a 3 x 3 1/2  inch piece of paper and a 3 x 4 inch piece of paper.
2. Fold down the end of the smaller piece of paper by 1/2 inch.
3.  Using a sewing machine, zig-zag stitch around the edges of the gift card holder to keep it together.

There you go, an Easy Peasy way to make a gift card holder that can be personalized anyway you like.  Of course you can always use adhesive too in case you don’t wanna bust out the ole’ sewing machine.

Mason Treat Jar
The Treat Jar and Gift Card holder is embellished with We Are Family pattered papers, Element stickers and a stamped sentiment along with Designer Dies from the Echo Park Paper Hot Air Balloon Die and Stamp set.
