Get Well Bug Cascading Card

The Thursday's Tutorial over at FCCB features a fun tutorial by Dr. Sonia over at Cards, Crafts and Kids Projects  on how to make Cascading Cards. I've never made this type of card before and since we had the "sick bug" running through my household a couple weeks ago, this cascading card gave me the perfect excuse to try this tutorial and create a Get Well Cascading Card . {this post … [Read more...]

Debossing Technique

April 12, 2012 by Holly Gagnon 11 Comments

Add Debossing to cards by turning the embossed side of the paper over. Adds unique look!

I was cleaning my craft area and I found this star scrap that caught my eye.  Ok....my version of cleaning my craft area is basically just  putting things in piles,  I have a lot of piles....Bleek! Anyways, the star is the negative cut from a star that I used on another project.  It should of been thrown away after the original cut but it wasn't, just ended up in a pile. You can check out my post and Sara's tutorial  HERE: Since my … [Read more...]

Lucky of the Irish Gold Card

March 16, 2012 by Holly Gagnon 16 Comments

We don't really do anything special for St Patrick's Day except help the kids set their Leprechaun traps with  hopes of catching one. My daughter keeps asking me when St Patrick's day is?  She's only 5 and has no concept of time yet. Everyday is fun for her.  Anyways, she's only focusing on the green treats and chocolate coins that may come along if she's lucky.  I should of named my daughter, … [Read more...]

Burlap Birthday Card for the Guy

It's my little brother's birthday this week so here's his clean, simple and to the point card....just like most guys.   Well, maybe I should write "some" guys instead of "most" guys as for being clean and simple...hmmm? Anyways, he's turning 25 and it makes me think "Gosh, really, he's how old?" and then I remember how old that makes me......Ack!   Here's what I used: Kraft … [Read more...]
