Get Well Cascading Card

April 26, 2012 by Holly Gagnon 28 Comments

The Thursday’s Tutorial over at FCCB features a fun tutorial by Dr. Sonia over at Cards, Crafts and Kids Projects  on how to make Cascading Cards.

I’ve never made this type of card before and since we had the “sick bug” running through my household a couple weeks ago, this cascading card gave me the perfect excuse to try this tutorial and create a Get Well Cascading Card .
Cascading Card made with Cricut

{this post contains affliate links}

 After I made my Cascading Card with Kraft paper, I thought “Wow..there’s a lot of empty space on this card to fill up!   I added cheery pattered paper, texture embossing,  faux stitching and cute little bugs die cuts  (if bugs can be cute) made from the Cricut Paisley cartridge.

The stamped sentiments are from My Pink Stamper Buggy Punnies which are glued on toothpicks.  I then added a few buttons and paper flowers from my stash and my first cascading “Get Well Bug” card was finished.

Cute little bugs, huh?  And to think I pay $50 every other month to keep these little things out of my house….

    OMGosh, Holly! I just saw this featured at the Kraft Journal and will be heading to FCCB to check out the tutorial. I am so seriously inspired by this card that I am going to get out of bed (a rare occasion) and make something! I am seriously in love with every detail you used! Those bugs are super cute and the colors are so cheery. Plus, how can you go wrong with Kraft? It’s amazing how brown cardboard-colored paper can just make everything look Fantabulous! 😉 Great job, my friend! So excited to see the tutorial and get started on my own version of this great card! You rocked it!
