Yep- Supergirl is what my daughter is being for Halloween this year. Her Supergirl costume came with some cute accessories too including fake nails but it lacked a hair accessory. So as Supergirl’s mom…I came to the rescue and made a Supergirl Hair Clip.
DIY Supergirl Hair Clip
I cut the Superman symbol from the Cricut Superman cartridge at 3 inches. I cut the base layer of the symbol with black cardstock 3 times to give it some thickness and then cut the rest of the layers once.
Since Supergirl needs to shine, I sprayed the symbol with glitter spray and then added couple coats of Mod Podge to seal it up. When everything was dry, I just hot glued the symbol on to a hair clip.
I wanted Supergirl to wear her hairclip on top of her head but Supergirl refused and insisted it be clipped on the side of her head because she can see it better….Um..OK? I guess her super powers include eyes on the side of her head.
Supergirl’s costume also came with boot cover-ups but again Supergirl refused to wear them since they would cover up her new blue sparkly shoes. Really, how can you win an argument with Supergirl?
