Fall Scarecrow and Pumpkin Centerpiece

October 6, 2011 by Holly Gagnon 57 Comments

Fall Scarecrow and Pumpkin Centerpiece made from die cut and 3D Paper pumpkins makes for a unique Fall Centerpiece idea.

{post contains affliate inks referencing  product used}

This Fall Scarecrow and Pumpkin centerpiece made with a cute Scarecrow and 3D paper Pumpkins makes for a cute and unique Fall table centerpiece idea.
The centerpiece is made from the lid of a shoe box that has been covered with paper and die cuts cut from  various Cricut cartridges.

Fall Scarecrow and Pumpkin Centerpiece

The paper grass and fencing are cut from the Cricut Paper Doll cartridge sized in length to cover the shoe box lid.
The cute “no-so-scary” Scarecrow is made from  the Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons cartridge and is decorated  with raffia, buttons and scrap paper.   After the scarecrow was layered together and decorated , I hot glue him on to a dowel then adhered him on to the base of the lid.  .   Isn’t he just the cutest?
I used the  50 States Cartridge to cut  out the black birds and applied black embossing powder to them to make them shine.
Fall Scarecrow and Pumpkin Centerpiece made from die cut and 3D Paper pumpkins makes for a unique Fall Centerpiece idea.
The 3D pumpkins in the centerpiece represent each one of my family members.    The pumpkins are made from scallop circle die cuts using the Alphalicious cartridge cut at 3 inches, 2 1/2 inches and 1 inch.
If you don’t have a die cutting machine, you can always use different sized scallop circle punches too.
3D-2BPumpkins
  • Cut or punch out 12 scallops circles.
  •  Fold in half  and glue each one together
  • Ink  the edges as desired, add a stem, leaves and some curled vine to individualize each one.
You could  use less than 12 circles depending on how full you want your pumpkin to be.
**TIP: The most important tip on making these folded pumpkins is to make sure your scallop cut is symmetrical.  Otherwise, you’ll find yourself going crazy trying to get the sides to line up correctly!
Fall Scarecrow and Pumpkin Centerpiece made from die cut and 3D Paper pumpkins makes for a unique Fall Centerpiece idea.
Here’s my personal family’s pumpkin harvest..  Daddy with a little hair, Mommy with bling,  Big Bro with blonde spikes,  lil’ Sis with a button bow and of course our fat, little dog, Sammy, with the crow on her back.
I love the way my  Fall Scarecrow and Pumpkin centerpiece turned out and I look forward to bringing it out each Fall.
