Power Up with a Nutritious Breakfast

I’m always looking for creative ways to get calories or “Power” into my son’s diet especially at breakfast.   I use the word “Power” because it just sounds better than – Hey Dude, eat more calories.   Instead it’s like-Dude, Power Up with a Nutritious Breakfast.  My son is almost 11, the word Dude is used in my house a lot.

My son’s always been a little guy.  Even though I may like him little, he’ll be starting 6th grade in the Fall so the little man syndrome sorta makes this Mom nervous.  Like, he’s gonna get trampled in the hallway nervous.  His books will weight more than he does nervous.  Dreaded bottom locker nervous.

Despite my worries, an easy way for him to Power Up with a Nutritious Breakfast is by drinking Nestlé Carnation Breakfast Essentials. He enjoys Carnation Breakfast because it’s simple for him to make his own breakfast drink.  Which in turn encourages him to use his own Power or if he’s lazy that morning, he’ll just ask his sister make it for him.  I’m not sure if that’s  lazy or brilliant.

Customize the kids cups with permanent vinyl. @silhouettepins   To encourage the Power Up idea, I used my Silhouette to cut out the word POWER with permanent vinyl and adhered it on to the front of the cup.  I kept the word subtle by using orange on orange so it doesn’t appear babyish.   Nestle Carnation Breakfast Essentials- Power Up with a Nutritious Breakfast!

The container of Rich Milk Chocolate Nestlé Carnation Breakfast Essentials, was purchased from my local Kroger.  Carnation Breakfast Essentials®  also has a Carnation Free Breakfast promotion going on right now as you can see advertised in the sign:

      1. Buy any 2 Carnation Breakfast Essentials products.
      2. Text a clear photo of your entire receipt with keyword BREAKFAST to 811811 or email it to redeem@CarnationFreeBreakfast.com or upload your receipt to http://cbi.as/7qnt
      3. You will receive a code back once the receipt has been verified that you can share with your friends and family for a free breakfast! (up to a $7.99 value).
      4. You’re sharing breakfast and we are too! Carnation Breakfast Essentials® will donate $25,000 to Feeding America to help those in need.

As Mom’s we are always thinking of ways to encourage our kids to start their  day off right with a Nutritious Breakfast.  Whether it’s drinking “Power” out of a cup or encouraging their physical Power,  Nestlé Carnation Breakfast Essentials has been doing it right for #50YearsofBreakfast.   Hollysignature

Thanks for the info. I’ll definitely be getting some instant breakfast to help feed the hungry. Just had a great idea while typing this…I’ll buy a LOT of it and take it to our local school who does a cereal/breakfast drive for the summer. The elIgible children are sent home at the end of the year with breakfast products to get through the summer. They can replenish a few times before school starts again. Double winner!! BTW, your sin is quite a handsome fella…
