Since this chevron fabric matches the gorgeous rug in her “picture perfect” Pottery Barn Kids Safari Nursery, I wanted to make a throw pillow for her glider so she’ll be all comfy-comf during those long nights ahead.
I cut out the W monogram with my Silhouette using Heat n Bond as an interface. My intention was to ONLY use Heat n Bond ’cause remember this was my FIRST real sewing project and I definitely wasn’t confident in my sewing abilities to stitch on a big ole’ ten inch W. I did the research, I watched the videos, it should work.
Well, the darn Heat n Bond didn’t hold…Gasp!! Unknowingly, I had purchased the Lite version. Basically after a few tears, I was forced to purchase matching thread and sew the monogram on to the pillow…{double}GASP!
The whole sewing fiasco wasn’t as bad as I thought. This project was definitely a challenge but I conquered my fears and I’m just thrilled how it turned out.
