Jar Full of Buttons Card

March 8, 2012 by Holly Gagnon 19 Comments

Who  collects hoards buttons?  “I do, I do, I do!”  Well here’s a super creative way I found to use up a handful of those buttons.  If you love this 3D Mason jar as much as I do, then check out my post  featured this week over at  Fantabulous Cricut  and  you can also see the tutorial that inspired me to make this card over at The Kraft Journal blog.

Jar Full of Buttons Card made with Cricut. Great way to use up buttons!

For my jar full of buttons, I use the mason jar cut from Cricut  Doodlecharms.   I added some twine to the lid and used up about 40 random, buttons.  I chose a stamped sentiment from Pink By Design.

You know what else I like about this idea?  You actually use both the positive and negative of your cut…I mean how creative is that?  Usually, the negative part of the die cut goes in to the trash or in my case, the floor.

Side note….Did you happen to notice those cute little spools of twin in the picture?  Oh yeah, those cute little spools came from Cassie at Paper Issues.  There so cute I don’t even want to use them!  Ok, I just used the word cute 3 times in 3 sentences…uh-huh…but they’re sooooo cute!
