The Brown Truck Box

September 3, 2012 by Holly Gagnon 13 Comments

Happy Labor Day!  This week at Fantabulous Cricut, we want to see you link up an “On The Job” project in order to honor all the hard working occupations out there.
I have a love/hate relationship with the Brown Truck and it’s driver.  I love the things the Brown Truck brings me but hate it when the Brown Truck forces me to be a prisoner at home all day waiting for it’s arrival to pick up a package, sign for a package or worse, damages my package. My husband likes to buy collectibles off Ebay and flip them for a profit.  So, between my Amazon Prime addiction and my husband Ebay addiction, the Brown Truck visits our residence often.  The Brown Truck and it’s driver are like frenemies, sometimes I scowl at the driver or sometimes the driver can be my bestie.

So to all those hard working Brown Truck drivers (there’s 3 on my purple zone- Tattoo Driver, Loud Music Driver and Not-So Friendly Female Driver), I made this and thought of you…

UPS Brown Truckt reat box

I used a template from Clear and Simple Stamps to create the truck base and sentiments from Graphically Speaking and used George and Basic Shapes to cut the circles for the wheels.

I’ll admit, my sentiments are sort of  tongue-n-cheek.  We’ve had some big damage occur during Brown Truck shipping.   Like falling off a fork-lift damage or looks like it’s been ran over with an actual Brown Truck damage.

I do appreciate my Brown Truck drivers and all the other hard working delivery personnel out there.  We only have one driver for the White Truck with Purple Letters (Smoker Driver) and a friendly and very efficient Mail Truck driver (Pam).

You are hilarious! I love the fact that you made this in honor of your “drivers”. What are you going to do with it now? Will you give it to them? Thanks for linking up to Every Day is an Occasion! SMiles, Jill
