Monogrammed Chevron Card

August 15, 2012 by Holly Gagnon 15 Comments

As a design team member of Fantabulous Cricut, we get the chance to participate in a card swap each term.  It’s always fun to receive something handmade in the mail, especially when it’s from a crafty friend.  For this term, I was chosen Jamie from Scrap Queen as my card swap buddy.Since Jamie has received my card in the mail, I can now show off the card I made her using my NEW Chevron embossing folder.  Uh-huh…Love!

Embossed Chevron Card made with Cricut

Monogrammed Chevron Card

I embossed and lightly sanded the background mat using Coredinations Whitewashed green core to make my Chevron’s pop.

To embellish the card, I cut a monogram (J for Jamie) from Cricut Storybook and chose a oblong frame and layer from Elegant Edges.

I then wrapped the card with some grey twine from the Twinery and of course included a coordinating envelope cut from Plantin Schoolbook.

I just love the simplicity and colors of this card!

This is beautiful, Holly! Glad you are enjoying the comment counter. The blue numbers are from our code. Looks like you had the old code on here too that had stopped working when they updated blogger, and for some reason our code has now made them both work. Oh well. At least you can see the numbers. You are not having double-vision. Big Hugs & Smiles! 🙂 Janis
