Fall is my favorite season of the year. Totally love the aroma of fresh baked apples, cinnamon and of course, pumpkin spice is the best! Fall is also about being thankful and giving thoughtful gifts to the people you love. These Fall Treat Cookie Bags are an easy, thoughtful gift idea that doesn’t have to be complicated.

I must confess though, these apple tarts are not homemade. They are however a thoughtful gesture, just not homemade. Sometimes, I have every intention of whipping up homemade treats only to find ready-made pastries at the store and my homemade recipe idea flies out the window. It’s really all about the presentation anyway, right?
Yes, store bought goodies and cute embellishments is how I am rolling this Fall. Since they treats aren’t homemade the whole gift bag idea is quick to assemble too. I used Fall Harvest Cookie Bags and embellishments that I had on hand to make mine but you can easily find all sorts of cute treat bags, embellishments and twine at any craft store.
After the apple tarts are wrapped in treat bags, attach a handmade or store bought tag then tie it up with red and white Baker’s Twine. Doesn’t twine just makes everything look better? Another thankful gift idea I’ve given is a Fall Caramel Apple Basket.
I hope this simple Fall Treat Cookie Bags idea inspires you to take some time to show the people in your life how thankful you are for them. Remember, no need to re-create the wheel, just make it (simpler and) better!
