Stamped Chocolate Kisses

January 18, 2012 by Holly Gagnon 40 Comments

  The Best Kisses are Chocolate, right?  These Stamped Chocolate Kisses are a super cute and easy craft to make  for Valentine’s day too .
Stamped Chocolate Kisses in a paper bowl! All you need is a 3/4 punch to make the small circles and stamp Valentine's sentiments on each one. Easy Valentine's Day craft!

Stamped Chocolate Kisses

{this post contains affliate links referencing products used}

When I started this project, I intended {for what is now the bowl.} to  be something else but by happy accident it turned into this.       I was attempting to make the small ice cream cone/cupcake on Sweet Tooth Boxes and for some reason my cuts were off and the whole project wouldn’t fit together. (Well, Duh..they need to be the same size to fit so- Duh again!) Let’s face it though, the directions on that cartridge are not the easiest to follow.

Bottom of cupcake box from Cricut Sweet Treat Cartridge turned in to candy bowl. Easy Valentine's decor!

Bottom of Cupcake Box from Cricut Sweet Treats cartridge used as a candy bowl.

Anyways, I ho-hummed about my mistake, was irritated that I wasted good double-sided card stock, kept starring at it and finally my mistake turned into a candy bowl.  I’m totally in love with this happy accident!  Just wait until you see what I turned the other part of the cupcake into.. Yippee!
 Stamp paper circles with Valentine's Stamps then adhere on to the bottom of Chocolate kiss to make a unique Valentine's gift idea.
 To make the circles I used my Cricut but you could also use  .75  inch punch.  I  stamped each circle with a Valentine’s sentiment and used Glue Dots to adhere them  on to the kiss.  .
Stamped Chocolate Kisses in a paper bowl! Use a 3/4 circle punch to punch the circles then stamp Valentine's sentiments on each one and adhere in to Chocolate Kiss. Easy Valentine's Day craft!

Love my little bowl of Chocolate Serendipity!  I’ve learned to never throw out a mistake since It may possible become something else.

    100% adorable & YUMMY! I’m having a Valentine/dessert party and I am certainly going to do something like this. Thanks for the inspiring and really funny blurb about how you did it. I also have had endless trouble with that cartridge and think Cricut owes us a new one that is correct on sizing!

    Like the Valentine Candy Bowl. There was a reason for the mistake and a wonderful one at that. And I see chocolate which you cannot go wrong with.

    Don’t you just love those happy accidents! This one sure came out great. Yes, that cart is a little tricky, and the first time I used it, I was very close to lighting the book on fire and smashing the cart with a hammer. Once you look at thought and figure it out..you do feel like duh!!! Oh well, Im blonde so I have an excuse ;). Love the patterned paper and colors on this. Thanks for joining us over at Whimsical Wednesdays.

    This is so cute! Thanks so much for sharing. But…is it my eyes getting older, or is the main font on the page very hard to read? On my computer, the lines of text are overlapping and it drives my eyes crazy. Don’t know if that’s really the way it is, or if that’s the way it comes through on my computer.
