Basket Full of Eggs Card

March 27, 2012 by Holly Gagnon 30 Comments

Last Easter I sent out handmade cards to friends and family that were similar to this Basket Full of Eggs card.    When I think back now to all those cards I made, I’m like….Geez, I must of had some spare time to make all those!
Well, at this time last year, I hadn’t started this little part-time job  my blog so I guess I did have a little more time to spend just crafting.
basket Full of Eggs Card
Here’s how I made this card from Doodlecharms:

Instead of using my Gypsy to weld a basket as a card base, I just cut the shadow of the basket twice, scored for a fold and adhered together.

The outer layer basket is cut at  5.61 inches and then I ran it through the crimper.  Yes, I had to blow the dust off that tool!

The eggs are cut at 4.76 inches and I  used various embossing folders, a hole punch and Stickles as egg decorations.

Thanks for looking and sorry friends and family, you’ll just have to print a picture of this Egg Basket card for this year.

Pretty card Holly. I’m pretty sure that I haven’t used my crimper more than a couple of times over the past few years. Thanks for the inspiration.
